Solder wire and rosin flux

Flux-cored solder wire and rosin are intended for making and repairing electrical connections, tinning wires and working with terminals. The available wire has a 1.5mm diameter, a 60% tin and 40% lead composition and a flux core; choose a 100g or 500g reel according to the expected workload. Separate rosin in a 10g container helps remove oxidation from the soldering surface and improves solder flow. For a reliable joint, clean and mechanically secure the conductors first, heat the joint and feed solder to the material rather than directly onto the iron tip. Work in a well-ventilated area, avoid inhaling fumes and wash your hands after handling leaded solder. Add strain relief and insulate the finished connection with suitable heat-shrink tubing.

Preparing a cable joint? Installation cables provide the correct conductor size, connectors create detachable links and tubing protects the finished soldered area.
