Vehicle marten and rodent deterrents

Marten and rodent deterrents help protect cables, hoses and insulating materials in a vehicle engine bay. The range includes ultrasonic models powered by 12V or 12/24V, universal versions using USB-C, batteries or a mains adapter, and designs supplemented by high-voltage contact plates. Varying frequencies reduces the chance that animals become accustomed to one tone, but effectiveness always depends on device placement, the environment and the individual animal. When choosing a unit, check its supply voltage, frequency range, connection method, current consumption and environmental resistance. Install it according to the instructions, away from hot, wet and moving engine parts; disconnect the vehicle battery before electrical wiring. On high-voltage versions, position the contact plates so that they cannot touch metal parts. Inspect the engine bay regularly and remove scent traces from previous rodent activity before installation.
