Antenna connectors, couplers and adapters link the radio, coaxial cable, mount and antenna. The range includes PL259 and SO-239, SMA, BNC, N and FME types, straight and right-angle adapters, female-to-female couplers, and transitions between PL and DV interfaces. Always check the connector type and gender at both ends, compatibility with RG58, RG174 or RG213 cable, centre-pin diameter and installation method. Fit the connector without shorting the centre conductor to the shield, maintain continuous shielding and protect outdoor joints against moisture. Unnecessary adapters increase signal loss and add potential failure points. After completing the installation, test the connection and check the antenna SWR before transmitting.
