Shrink wrapping is used for mechanical and electrical protection of wire connections in climatically demanding environments. Shrinking is carried out with hot air at a temperature in the range of 120-200 °C or with a soft yellow flame. After shrinking, the inner diameter of the strips drops to 1/2 of the original diameter. The temperature resistance of the material after cooling is from -55 °C to +125 °C.
