Power resistor for 12V/5W bulb, used e.g. to eliminate error messages and fast flashing of direction lights in vehicles when installing LED bulbs. Some modern vehicles have an electronic cracked bulb check function, which results in an error message when replacing a conventional bulb with a lower wattage LED bulb. This can be eliminated by connecting a suitable resistor in parallel to the LED bulb.
