A multimeter is a meter that allows the measurement of electrical quantities.
This meter allows the measurement of AC and DC voltage, current and resistance, capacitance, frequency and temperature. In addition, this multimeter is equipped with a test slot for checking transistors and can also test diodes. It switches between the different types of measurements using a rotary dial, where the desired range for each quantity can also be set.
The measured values are displayed on a clear, backlit LCD display in the instrument's durable, plastic body. In addition, the body is housed in a removable silicone case, which provides partial protection against moisture, dirt and, last but not least, protects the instrument from vibration. The meter comes with high-quality cables with measuring tips.
The power supply is provided by a recommended 9V 6F22 alkaline battery. The instrument is equipped with a 10 A fuse.
TRUE RMS - the meter with this function calculates the true RMS value of AC current and voltage for both sine and non-sine waveforms. The instrument first measures the actual value of the sine wave at several time intervals, then squares the measurement results, sums them, calculates the average, and finally averages the result of the average. The result of the measurement is the actual effective AC voltage/current value even for a distorted sine wave or rectangular wave.
