The CPL (circular polarizing lens) filter polarizes the light hitting the camera sensor or film, improving the contrast and color of the resulting photo. Reflected light will often cause glare or an unnatural glow in a photograph. A polarizing filter solves this problem. With this filter you can achieve, for example, a dark blue sky effect on a clear day, or remove reflections from non-metallic surfaces such as glass or water.
