Operation:

Using this relay it is possible to charge 2 batteries simultaneously. When the engine is started and the starter battery reaches 13.3V, the relay connects the 2 batteries in parallel, (starter and secondary) which are then charged simultaneously. If the voltage drops below 12.8V (for example when the engine is switched off), the relay disconnects, and the two batteries are separated. This system prevents the starter battery from discharging and protects sensitive electronic equipment connected to the secondary battery from voltage spikes that can occur, for example, when starting the engine. The intelligent electronics also switches the relay when the secondary battery is being recharged from the solar panel, for example, and thus also allows the starter battery to be recharged.
