Mounting brackets provide a firm and safe installation point for CB, VHF or UHF antennas on cars, vans and trucks. The range includes universal no-drill boot-edge mounts, mirror, metal-bar and cross-tube clamps, as well as vehicle-specific brackets for a door pillar or sun visor on Scania, DAF, Iveco, Volvo, MAN, Mercedes-Benz and Renault vehicles. Depending on the model, the bracket is made from stainless or painted steel, uses an opening of approximately 13 or 16mm, and accepts PL or DV antenna mounts. Some products include RG58 coaxial cable with a PL259 connector, while others require a separate cable and antenna base. Before ordering, verify the exact vehicle model and year, mounting point, antenna-base type, hole diameter, bracket dimensions and package contents. Attach the bracket to a structurally sound part of the vehicle, protect paintwork and joints from corrosion, and ensure the antenna does not interfere with doors, mirrors or the driver’s view. After installation, inspect cable routing and measure the antenna SWR.
A complete installation also needs the correct connection and final check. Choose coaxial cable of the required length, compatible plugs or adapters, and verify antenna matching with an SWR meter after installation.
