The available PNI DS890 features a floating IP67-rated design, selectable 5W or 2W output, INT, CAN and USA channel groups, emergency channel 16 and ten weather channels. Dual Watch and scanning monitor radio traffic, while adjustable squelch and NRC noise reduction support clear reception. The display shows the selected channel, signal strength and battery status, and flashes red after contact with water to make the radio easier to locate. When choosing, consider the channel group used in your sailing area, required output power, ingress protection, battery capacity and charging options.
