AV cables and adapters for vehicles

AV cables connect parking cameras, monitors, head units and other multimedia equipment in a vehicle. The range includes RCA/CINCH audio-video cables from 1 to 20 metres, camera extension leads with an integrated power wire, a cable with a 3.5mm jack and short FAKRA-to-RCA adapters for connecting a navigation unit or radio. Check the connector type at both ends, male or female configuration, required length, number of signals and whether a power wire is needed. Good shielding helps reduce interference on longer runs, but the cable should not be unnecessarily long. Route signal cables separately from high-current wiring and electromagnetic interference sources, avoid sharp bends and protect them from pinching, heat and moving parts. Insert connectors without force and secure the cable safely. Verify video, audio and power throughout the system before refitting trim panels.
